My first challenge.
My first use of stampbord. A lovely surface to use but it is very chunky stuff and I can't imagine what I'd use it for.
And a real challenge with the freebie stamp from ChocBaroque.

April
Yesterday was April Fools Day and our 40th wedding anniversary!
Apparently a 40th anniversary is Ruby so was quite relieved when we didn't go for a celebratory curry. Received some lovely flowers.

Now to try some pictures
A New Year - A New Blog
Here we are, the middle of February and I thought I would get to grips with this blogging business. It seems the way to go for craft challenges.

Catch up
Thought it was about time that I joined in the virtual world again.
Some news - for the first time ever we have booked a holiday more than six months in advance. We are going on a cruise!!
The other bit of very good news is that our neighbour has cut down his very large Leylandii hedge. The gardeners amongst you will understand that there is now considerably more light in the garden and hopefully the ground that was under the hedge will no longer be parched.
Also have put some more pictures of cards.

baroque bracelet
Last Saturday I went to my first craft class. The subject was grungepaper and grungeboard and what could be made with the stuff. We were shown how to make the ubiquitous gp rose and a watch strap. There wasn't time to decorate the things that we had made so they were taken home to be finished. I couldn't finish properly the watch strap as I don't have a watch to attach to it.
So I had a go at making a bracelet..........
this is it on my wrinkly wrist.........
I am quite pleased with it and have no idea when and if I will actually wear it but I have learnt a lot about grungestuff. I wanted to punch the ends with a Martha Stewart 'iron railings' punch but it didn't work and the little bits got stuck in the punch!
Must try a smaller flower OR make another large one as a hair ornament.
