Altered Matchbox

Here is a picture of my altered matchbox. It is the first time I've tried an 'altered' project and it will probably be the last.
The premise is that you take an unwanted item, something that would be thrown away (rubbish in fact) and using imagination and ingenuity change it into something beautiful.
But then you have something that you would have thrown away, that is still cluttering the place up, but because it has had time and effort spent on it, you can't throw it away!
I kept having Blue Peter moments...sticky backed plastic and old cereal packets.
Got to go now - photo will follow.

April 10th Challenge 1 submissions

My first challenge.
My first use of stampbord. A lovely surface to use but it is very chunky stuff and I can't imagine what I'd use it for.
And a real challenge with the freebie stamp from ChocBaroque.

April

Yesterday was April Fools Day and our 40th wedding anniversary!
Apparently a 40th anniversary is Ruby so was quite relieved when we didn't go for a celebratory curry.  Received some lovely flowers.

A New Year - A New Blog

Here we are, the middle of  February and I thought I would get to grips with this blogging business. It seems the way to go for craft challenges.

Catch up

Thought it was about time that I joined in the virtual world again.

Some news - for the first time ever we have booked a holiday more than six months in advance. We are going on a cruise!!

The other bit of very good news is that our neighbour has cut down his very large Leylandii hedge.  The gardeners amongst you will understand that there is now considerably more light in the garden and hopefully the ground that was under the hedge will no longer be parched.

Also have put some more pictures of cards.
