Sunday 5th August

My imagination has taken the summer off so to try and coax it back I have been looking through my Craft Stamper magazines. The idea of trying something from each magazine is something I've been meaning to do for ages and I've finally got round to it.
However, it is quite depressing as there are precious few projects that I can tackle without buying yet more stuff.
The trick is I suppose is to do what you can with materials available. To that end I made a couple of cards using the freebie stamps that came with the Jan 2012 & Feb 2012 mags. using variations of the design team ideas.
Here they are:

The base card is 150sq craft card from Hobbycraft with pink and red paper from my stash layered on to it. The smaller recangle is white card painted with Promarker Antique Pink and Adirondack paint dabber 'Watermelon' then spritzed with water and let dry.
One wing from the Tim Holtz stamp 'royal script' was stamped with Brilliance Lightning Black ink. The edges are distressed with my craft knife and coloured with more of the Lightning Black ink.  The heart was stamped onto a piece of the red card and painted with crackle accents. the sentiment is an Elusive Images stamp in black.

Used base card as above with double sided paper from K&Co sparkly (??) edges distressed with craft knife and coloured with Versamagic Chalk Ink in Gingerbread. Chicken coloured in with Promarkers and stitched to floral paper. I then stuck the lot onto base card.  Haven't thought of an appropriate sentiment yet!!

Wednesday 16th May again

More piccies.
So far I've made 11 alphatags - A to K but I forgot to take photos of the A and B tags and I chickened out of taking a picture of the 'I' tag as it was a clear stamp on acrylic - meant to be invisible!!

Wednesday 16th May

Haven't done any blogging for ages so I thought I would put some of the more recent works on here.

AlphaTags 2012 C & D

Coffee time with cupcake.

My experiment with texture paste for the icing on the cake.

...obviously dandelions.
Another go with the texture paste on one of the flowers and a couple of the leaves through a Crafters workshop template. I am a bit disappointed with the dandelion fairies, I had hoped they would be a bit finer. Too heavy handed I suppose!

sticky stuff

Further to the conversation on Chocolate Baroque regarding gooey materials, I am now the proud owner of a large tube of gesso, a pot of texture paste and a tube of matte glaze medium.
Off to play I think.................
